Accommodation and Travel expenses – postdocs & PhD students
The Carlsberg Foundation has kindly provided a grant that among others supports participation of young postdoctoral or outstanding PhD students in the 14th International Symposium on Tardigrada, providing financial support for accommodation and travel expenses.

Young postdocs and PhD students attending the symposium with a presentation (oral or poster) are therefore encouraged to apply for funding to support accommodation and travel expenses.

Successful applicants will be awarded up to 1000 EURO. Preference will be given to young postdoctoral students.

Applications including a short letter of motivation, a budget (listing your travel and accommodation expenses), your abstract, and if applicable a letter of support from your supervisor or PI must be sent to Nadja Møbjerg at nmobjerg@bio.ku.dk no later than 31 May 2018.

The Chair and members of the Local Committee will evaluate the applications. Applicants will receive notification of the panel's decision in early July. Funds will be provided as a reimbursement following receipt of documented expenses for travel and accommodation during the symposium.

Young Scientist Award

The Independent Research Fund Denmark supports the 14th International Symposium on Tardigrada by (among others) providing funds for a Young Scientist Award.

This Award will honor the best oral and poster presentations by Young Scientists during the symposium. The Award is applicable for students (BSc, MSc, PhD) and young postdocs.

If you wish to be considered for the Award you must indicate this on the registration form during your registration.

Candidates will be evaluated by an ad hoc panel of Senior Scientists appointed by the Chair and Local Committee. Assessments will be based on the originality and quality of the work presented as well as on the communicative skills of the presenter.
